When I Ignored Time

My head sunken deep in a book,

I couldn’t recognize when the time went  by.

Unknowingly, hung by a crook,

ignorance was my friend, I don’t know why.

Did I hurt the greatest ruler of the universe?

oh, I did not feel so bad.

The mind was feeling something diverse

and in a first, it wasn’t so sad.

The story unfolded in a slow manner.

the baroness finally wed,

the half book got finally over,

as I paused and looked around, the time hastily sped.

Fearing to get caught in the whirl again,

I dived back in the book, it’s  heart  was dear to mine.

it was a lovely bargain,

It was peaceful when I once ignored time.
